Lentil & Brown Rice Soup Recipe

Ingredients:
1/2 cup: Lentils,
1/3 cup: Brown rice,
2 tbsp: Olive oil,
2 each: Garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp: Soy sauce,
2 each: Bay leaves,
1 small: Onion, chopped
2 medium: Carrots, sliced
1 large: Celery stalk, chopped
14 ounce: Can tomatoes, chopped
1/2 cup: Tomato juice,
1/4 cup: Sherry,
1 tsp: Basil,
1 tsp: Paprika,
1/2 tsp: Marjoram,
1/2 tsp: Thyme,
Salt & pepper,
Directions:
Place first 6 ingredients in large soup pot. Cover with 3 cups water
& bring to a boil. Cover & simmer for 7 to 8 minutes. Add 2 more
cups of water along with the rest of the ingredients. Cover & simmer
for 25 to 30 minutes. Serve hot.
