Black Walnut Taffy Recipe

Ingredients:
2 cup: Sugar,
1 tbsp: Butter or butter substitute,
1/2 cup: Sweetened condensed milk,
1/2 cup: Chopped nuts,
1 cup: Molasses,
1 tsp: Vanilla,
1/4 tsp: Salt,
1/2 cup: Water,

Directions:
Boil molasses, sugar, salt, milk, water, and butter to hard ball
stage (265 ~ 270 F). Add flavoring. Spread nuts over the bottom of
a well-buttered pan. Pour taffy over nuts. Cool. Pull until stiff
and creamy. Cut in 1-inch pieces. Isabel Tovill, Lancaster, OH.
