Old-fashioned Pole Beans Recipe

Ingredients:
3 lbs: Pole beans, fresh
5 cup: Water,
1: Ham hock, 1/2 lb.
2 tsp: Salt,
1/4 tsp: Pepper,
Directions:
Remove strings from beans, cutting beans into 2 inch pieces. Wash
beans.
Place water and ham hock in a Dutch oven; bring to a boil. Reduce
heat; cover and simmer 1 hour. Add beans, salt, and pepper; cook 30
minutes or until tender.
