Chocolate-covered Banana Pops Recipe

Yield: 9 Pops

Ingredients:
3 large: Ripe bananas,
9: Wooden popsicle sticks,
12 ounce: HERSHEYS Chocolate Chips, Semi-Sweet
2 tbsp: Shortening*,
1 1/2 cup: Unsalted, roasted peanuts, coarsely chopped

Directions:
*(do not use butter, margarine or oil)

1. Peel bananas; cut each into thirds. Insert wooden stick into each
banana piece; place on wax-paper-covered tray. Cover; freeze until
firm.

2. In microwave-safe container, place chocolate chips and shortening.
Microwave at HIGH (100%) 1-1/2 to 2 minutes or until chocolate is
melted and mixture is smooth when stirred.

3. Remove bananas from freezer just before dipping. Dip each piece
into warm chocolate, covering completely; allow excess to drip off.
Immediately roll in peanuts. Cover; return to freezer. Serve frozen.
9 pops.

VARIATION: HERSHEYS Milk Chocolate Chips or HERSHEYS MINI CHIPS
Semi-Sweet Chocolate may be substituted for HERSHEYS Semi-Sweet
Chocolate Chips.
