Prize Cookies Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup: Shortning,
1 1/2 cup: Sugar,
3: Eggs,
3 cup: Flour, unsifted
1 tsp: Baking soda,
1/2 tsp: Salt,
9 ounce: Mincemeat, crumbled
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375
. In a large mixer bowl, beat shortning and sugar
until fluffy. Add eggs; beat well. Stir together dry ingredients;
gradually blend into shortning mixture. Mix well. Stir in mincemeat.*
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls, 2-inches apart, onto greased baking
sheets. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool. Garnish
with glaze if desired. Makes about 6 1/2 dozen.
