Cut (schnitzel) Beans Recipe

Ingredients:
1 1/2 quart: String beans,
2 tbsp: Bacon, smoked, diced
1 tbsp: Butter,
3 each: Onion, large, sliced
4 each: Med Tomato, chopped
1 tsp: Salt,
1 dash: Red pepper,
1 cup: Water, hot
Directions:
Cut string beans in small pieces. Fry the bacon until crisp and
brown, add the other ingredients and simmer for 1 hour. Add the hot
water and continue cooking 2 hours longer, adding more water if
