Date Nut Cookies Recipe

Yield: 24 Servings

Ingredients:
1 cup: Shortening,
2 cup: Brown sugar,
2 each: Egg,
To above mix,
1/2 cup: Water,
1 tsp: Vanilla,
In another bowl mix,
3 1/2 cup: Flour,
1 tsp: Salt,
1 tsp: Baking soda,
1/8 tsp: Cinnamon,
Mix well, then combine bowls

FILLING; COOK UNTIL THICK
Stir constantly,
2 cup: Dates, chopped
3/4 cup: Sugar,
3/4 cup: Water,
When thick add,
1 cup: Pecans, chopped

Directions:

drop 1 teaspoon dough, add 1/2 teaspoon filling and 1/2 teaspoon
dough on top. Bake at 375
