Double Maple Muffins Recipe

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup: Flour, sifted
1/4 cup: Sugar,
1 tbsp: Baking powder,
1/2 tsp: Salt,
1/4 cup: Shortening,
3/4 cup: Oats, rolled
1: Egg, beaten
1/2 cup: Milk,
1/2 cup: Maple syrup,
Approx. Cook Time: 0:20,
Directions:
Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening until
mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in oats. Add liquid ingredients
and stir only until dry ingredients are moistened. Fill greased
muffin cups 2/3 full. Bake at 400 F for 18 to 20 minutes. Let stand
in pan a few minutes before removing. Drizzle a sugar or maple glaze
over tops of muffins while hot and serve.
