Fig Bars Recipe

Ingredients:
1/2 cup: Butter Or Margarine, Softened
1 cup: Brown Sugar, Packed
3: Eggs, Large
1 tsp: Lemon Peel, Grated
1 tsp: Vanilla,
1 cup: Flour, Unbleached
1 tsp: Baking Powder,
1/2 tsp: Salt,
1 1/2 cup: Figs, Dried, Finely Chopped
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, peel and vanilla; beat well. Stir
together flour, baking powder, and salt; blend into creamed mixture.
Stir in figs. Pour into greased 13 X 9 X 2-inch baking pan. Bake at
350 degrees F for 25 minutes. Cool; cut into bars. Makes
32 bars.
