Vegetable Sauce (usda) Recipe

Ingredients:
3 tbsp: Butter or margarine,
3 tbsp: Flour,
1/4 tsp: Salt,
1 1/2 cup: Milk,
3/4 cup: Mixed vegetables, cooked

Directions:
Melt butter. Stir in flour and salt. Add milk slowly. Cook until
thickened, stirring constantly. Stir in vegetables. Heat to serving
temperature.

Serving Ideas : Serve over Ham Turnovers. (separate recipe)

NOTES : This recipe is for 6 servings (about 1/4 cup each) to
accompany Ham Turnovers, a freeze ahead meal. The sauce is made at
the time of serving. You will want to have the ingredients on hand
when you are ready to use the frozen food.
