Wallpaper Cleaner (1909 Presidential Cookbook Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup: Flour, (heaping)
1 tbsp: Kerosene,
2 tbsp: Ammonia,
1/2 cup: Warm water,
CLEANER #2-,
1: Sal Ammoniac,
4: Parts rye flour,
Water,
CLEANER #3-,
1 tbsp: Salt,
1 tbsp: Kerosene,
2 tbsp: Vinegar,
2 tbsp: Ammonia,
1/2 cup: Warm water,
1/2 cup: Flour,

Directions:
Mix above and boil til flour is thoroughly scalded stirring
constantly. Then knead w/ hands and it is ready for use. Use as if it
were an eraser. CLEANER #2 Add enough water to the rye flour and
ammoniac that it will form a dough, then use on soiled parts as if
the mixture was a sponge. Turn soiled part of dough into itself and
work out a clean part of the mixture. Never continue to rub the
soiled surface of the cleaner into the wall. CLEANER #3 Cook while
stirring. Knead into a smooth dough. Use pieces as though it were an
eraser to clean wallpaper. SOURCE:Handwritten notes glued into the
