Western Beans & Rice Recipe

Yield: 6 Servings

Ingredients:
1 tbsp: Vegetable oil,
1 cup: Chopped onions,
1 cup: Sliced celery,
8 ounce: Tomato sauce,
1/2 cup: Water,
1/2 tsp: Salt,
1/4 tsp: Hot pepper sauce, or more, to taste
3 cup: Cooked or canned pinto beans (OR any type of bean), drained
3 cup: Hot cooked brown rice,

Directions:
In large skillet, cook onions and celery in oil until tender. Stir in
tomato sauce, water, seasonings, and beans. Heat thoroughly. Serve
over hot rice.

Each serving provides: * 270 calories * 10.6 g. protein * 3.3 g. fat
* 50.5 g. carbohydrate * 270 mg. sodium * 0 mg. cholesterol
