Taco Shells Recipe

Ingredients:
3/4 cup: Yellow cornmeal,
1 1/4 cup: Sifted all purpose flour,
1 T: Salt,
2 T: Shortening,
1 cup: Boiling water,

Directions:
In a small mixing bowl mix together cornmeal, flour and salt. Stir in
shortening and boiling water, mix wwell. Shape to form 12 balls.
Flatten each ball between 2 sheets waxed paper to make a 5 inch
circle. Bake on a hot ungreased griddle until cooked. Place each one
in hot oil about 1 inch deep and fold over with tongs. fry until
crisp.
