Molded Sweet Cherry Salad Recipe

Ingredients:
2 cup: Cherries, sweet, drained and juice reserved
Water, boiling
3 ounce: Gelatin, cherry-flavored
8: Olives, stuffed, chopped
1 cup: Almonds, toasted, shredded
Lettuce, crisp
Mayonnaise,
Directions:
Measure separately the reserved cherry juice and enough boiling water
to make 2 cups liquid, but do not combine. Dissolve gelatin in the
boiling water; then add cherry juice. Chill until thick and syrupy.
fold cherries, chopped olives, and almonds into the slightly
thickened gelatin. Pour into 5 cup mold and chill until firm. Unmold
on crisp lettuce and garnish with mayonnaise.
