Not Your Regular Brisket Recipe

Ingredients:
3 1/2: - 4 lb beef brisket, trimmed
1/2 cup: Water,
1/4 cup: Soy sauce,
1/4 tsp: Black pepper,
1/4 cup: Chopped onion,
1: Green bell pepper, sliced
1/2 cup: Raisins,
2 tbsp: Brown sugar,
20 ounce: Can unsweetened apple slices, drained
Directions:
Place brisket in large pot or baking pan. Add water, soy sauce and pepper.
Cover and simmer 2 1/2 - 3 hours. Add onion, green pepper, raisins, brown
sugar and apple slices. Simmer 30 - 40 minutes more. Remove brisket and
slice. Serve, covered with pan juices.
