Switchel Recipe

Ingredients:
1/2 tsp: Ground Ginger,
1/2 cup: Molasses,
1 cup: Sugar,
1/2 cup: Cider Vinegar,
2 cup: Boiling Water,
6 cup: Cold Water,
Directions:
1. Blend the ginger and sugar together. Pour in boiling water and
stir to dissolve. Mix in molasses and vinegar. Let cool.
2. Add the cold water and chill thoroughly. Serve with ice cubes, if
desired.
NOTE: Old colonial recipe, great thirst quencher. Makes about 8 1/2
cups.
