Ingredients:
3: Eggs, separated
1 cup: Sugar, divided
1: Lemon, grated and squeezed
Small piece of butter,

Directions:
Beat the egg whites very stiff. Gradually add 1/2 of the sugar. Then
in a saucepan, beat up the 3 yolks, add the other 1/2 cup sugar,
lemon juice, rind and butter and cook until thick, stirring
constantly. Add the beaten white mixture. Put into a crust and bake
until set. Brown under fire or broiler.

Many of the recipes in this collection did not contain amounts or oven
temperatures. I have typed them in as they appear in the book, typos
and all.
