Jiffy Nutmeg Cake -- A One-bowl Cake Recipe

Ingredients:
2 cup: All-Purpose Flour, sifted
1 1/2 cup: Sugar,
1 tsp: Salt,
2 tsp: Baking Powder,
1 1/2 cup: Heavy Cream,
3: Eggs,
2 tsp: Nutmeg, grated
2 tbsp: Dark Rum Or Brandy,

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 F. Sift flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder
into a mixing bowl. Add cream, eggs, and nutmeg, and beat for 3 mins.
Add rum or brandy and beat for 1 min longer. Then pour into a greased
and floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan and bake for 1 hour, or until a
toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on cake racks and
frost or enjoy plain.

Yield: 10 servings.
