Oven Scones (aunt Bs) Recipe

Ingredients:
8 ounce: Flour,
1 1/2 ounce: Butter,
Pinch of salt,
1 tsp: Castor sugar,
1/2 tsp: Bicarbonate of soda,
1 tsp: Cream of tartar,
1: Egg,
Milk,

Directions:
Sift together flour,salt,soda and cream of tartar.Rub in the bytter
lightly,add sugar,then mix to a soft,elastic dough with the unbeaten
egg and a little milk.Turn on to a floured board,an handling
lightly,knead,then roll out to 3/4 inch thickness.Cut into rounds and
place on a greased oven tray.Bake in a hot oven 425 degrees F.(Regulo
mark 7) for 10 to 15 minutes.
