Aunt Dodies Butter Cream Cake^ Recipe

Ingredients:
1/2 cup: Butter,
1 1/2 cup: Sugar,
1 cup: Milk,
1 tsp: Lemon extract,
2 1/4 cup: Flour, sifted
2 1/2 tsp: Baking powder,
3: Egg whites, well beaten

Directions:
Cream together butter and sugar. Add milk a little at a time. Add
lemon. Gradually beat in flour and baking soda. Carefully fold in
beaten egg whites. Turn into greased and floured pan and bake in a
moderate oven until done.

Many of the recipes in this collection did not contain amounts or oven
temperatures. I have typed them in as they appear in the book, typos
and all.
