Cabbage With Meat Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:
1 lbs: Pork sausage,
Dried,
1 each: Green pepper, chopped
1/4 tsp: Salt,
1 cup: Chopped onion,
1 dash: Pepper,
1 cup: Tomato juice,
1/4 cup: Butter or margarine,
1 can: Tomatoes, 14 1/2 oz
1 medium: Head of cabbage, thinly
Diced with liquid,
Sliced,
2 tbsp: Fresh oregano, or 2 tsp.
Directions:
In a skillet, cook sausage, green pepper and onion until the sausage
is browned; drain. Stir in the tomato juice, tomatoes, oregano, salt
and pepper; simmer for 1 hr. Melt butter in a dutch oven; saute
cabbage over med. heat until tender, about 15 min. Transfer to
serving platter; top with the meat sauce. Yield: 4 to 6 servings.
