Sausage Gravy (for Chicken Fried Steak Or Biscuits) Recipe

Ingredients:
1 lbs: Sage-flavored bulk pork,
1/2 tsp: Poultry seasoning,
Sausage,
1/2 tsp: Ground nutmeg,
2 tbsp: Finely chopped onion,
1/4 tsp: Salt,
6 tbsp: All-purpose flour,
Dash Worcestershire sauce,
1 quart: Milk,
Dash hot pepper sauce,

Directions:
Crumble sausage into a large saucepan; cook over medium-low heat. Add
onion; cook and stir until transparent. Drain, discarding all but 2
tablespoons of drippings. Stir in flour; cook over medium-low heat
about 6 minutes or until mixture bubbles and turns golden. Stir in
milk. Add seasonings; cook, stirring, until thickened.

Serve over biscuits or over chicken fried steak.

Yield: 4 servings.
