Molasses Crinkle Cookies Recipe

Ingredients:
PART A
3/4 cup: Soft shortening, (Crisco) (I use 1 stick softened butter and 1/4 C shortening)
1 cup: Brown sugar, firmly packed
1: Egg,
1 cup: Dark molasses,
PART B
2 1/4 cup: Sifted flour,
2 tsp: Baking soda,
1/4 tsp: Salt,
1/2 tsp: Ground cloves,
1 tsp: Cinnamon,
1 tsp: Ground ginger,
Directions:
Mix thoroughly part "A". Add and mix thoroughly part "B". Chill dough (I
mix it the night before). Preheat oven to 375F. Roll dough into walnut-size
balls. Dip tops in white sugar. Place sugar-side up on greased cookie
sheets. Sprinkle 2-3 drops of water on each for a crackled effect. Bake for
about 10-12 minutes til set but not hard.
