Ingredients:
1/4 lb: butter,
3/4 cup: sugar,
2: eggs,
3/4 cup: boiling water,
3/4 cup: molasses,
2 1/2 cup: flour,
2 teaspoon: baking soda,
1/2 teaspoon: salt,
1 tablespoon: powdered ginger,

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350

F. Butter and lightly flour a 9 x 9" cake pan.
Cream the butter, add the sugar, and beat until light. Add the eggs
and beat well. Ad the boiling water and molasses and blend. Mix
together the flour, baking soda, salt and ginger. Add to the first
mixture, and combine thoroughly. Pour into the prepared pan and bake
35-45 minutes, until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out
clean. Cool in the pan about 5 minutes before turning out onto a
plate.

Per Serving: 640 calories, 9 g protein, 105 g carbohydrate, 21 g fat,
12 g saturated fat, 134 mg cholesterol, 771 mg sodium, 1 g fiber.
