Chocolate Chip Date-nut Loaf Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup: dates, chopped
1 teaspoon: soda,
1 cup: water, boiling
1 tablespoon: butter,
1 cup: sugar,
1: egg,
1 teaspoon: vanilla,
2 cup: flour,
1 teaspoon: baking powder,
1/2 teaspoon: salt,
1/2 cup: walnuts, chopped
1/2 cup: chocolate chips,

Directions:
In a large bowl, sprinkle soda over dates. Add boiling water and butter.
Allow to cool. Add sugar, egg and vanilla and beat well. Add remaining
ingredients and stir thoroughly. Pour into greased and floured baking pan
(slow cooker accessory). Bake in covered slow pot on high for 2 to 3 hours.
