Lemon Filbert Logs (aw) Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup: Butter,
3/4 cup: Brown sugar,
1 tsp: Lemon rind, grated
2 1/2 cup: Flour,
1/4 tsp: Salt,
1 tbsp: Lemon juice,
1: Egg white,
1 tbsp: Water,
1 cup: Filbert nuts, finely chopped

Directions:
Cream butter, sugar and lemon rind until fluffy. Sift together and
add flour, salt and lemon juice. Mix well and chill several hours.
Shape into logs and roll in beaten egg white or egg yolk mixed with
water and then finely chopped filbert nuts. Anna Weishaar
