Ingredients:
1/2 lbs: Onion, thinly sliced(about 2
2 tbsp: Butter,
8 each: Eggs,
1 cup: Dry white wine,
2/3 cup: Heavy cream,
1 tsp: Salt,
1/8 tsp: Pepper,
1/8 tsp: Nutmeg,
1/2 lbs: Grated Gruyere cheese, (abou

Directions:
1- ea 9"pie crust Saute in butter till soft, remove from heat &
set aside. Combine eggs, wine, cream, salt, pepper & nutmeg. Spread 1
cup of cheese on bottom of pastry shell, cover with onions and top
with remaining cheese. Pour cream mixture over cheese and onions.
Bake 350 for 1 hour or until knife >> inserted in center comes out
