Chinese Five Spice Powder-martha Stewart Livi Recipe

Ingredients:
2 tbsp: Whole star anise, about 10
1 tbsp: Szcchuan peppercorns,
1 Stick: cinnamon,
2 tbsp: Fennel seeds,
1/2 tsp: Whole cloves,
Directions:
1. Place all ingredients in a saute pan over medium heat and
dry-roast, shaking pan often, until they give off an aroma, about 5
minutes.
2. Transfer to a mortar or a clean coffee grinder and grind to a
powder. Store in an airtight container.
