Swedish Sticks Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup: Shortening,
1 cup: Brown sugar,
1: Egg,
2 cup: Flour,
1 tsp: Vanilla,
1/2 cup: Jam or jelly,
1/2 cup: Chopped nuts,
1/2 cup: Coconut,
1 tbsp: Confectioners sugar,
Directions:
Cream the shortening and brown sugar. Add the egg flour and vanilla.
Pat evenly into cookie sheet (moisten fingertips to prevent
sticking). Bake 12-15 minutes at 350F. Immediately upon removing from
the oven, spread with the jam. Sprinkle with the nuts and coconut
then dust with 1 tablepoon confectioners sugar. Cut into 1"x2 1/2"
