Vanilla Frozen Custard Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup: Milk,
3/4 cup: Sugar,
2 cup: Whipping cream,
1 tbsp: Vanilla extract,
3: Egg yolks, slightly beaten
Directions:
Scald milk in top of double boiler. Add sugar and stir until
dissolved. Cool. By spoonful, add
cup hot milk to beaten eggs.
Slowly pour egg mixture into remaining hot milk in a fine stream,
stirring constantly. Return mixture to double boiler and cook,
stirring until mixture thickens slightly and coats the spoon. Remove
from heat and chill thoroughly (overnight). Add cream and vanilla and
pour into ice cream maker.
