Herbed Sausages In Wine * Recipe

Ingredients:
1/2 lbs: Italian Sweet Sausage,
- Or:,
1/2 lbs: Italian Hot Sausage,
1/4 tsp: Dried Thyme,
1/2 lbs: Lielbasa,
1 tbsp: Finely Chopped Fresh Parsley,
1/2 lbs: Bockwurst, Veal Sausage
- Or:,
5: Green Onions, Minced
1 tsp: Dried Parsley,
2 cup: Dry White Wine,
1/2 tsp: Tabasco Pepper Sauce,
1 tbsp: Chopped Fresh Thyme Leaves,
Directions:
People line up for these at Point OWoods on Fire Island, where they
are a specialty at Barbara Hunters parties. This recipe can easily
be multiplied several times to serve a crowd.

~-- Cut the sausages into 1/2-inch pieces. In a deep skillet over
medium heat, cook the Italian sausage for 3 to 5 minutes, or until
lightly browned. Drain off the fat. Add the remaining sausage and
the green onions, and cook for 5 minutes more. Reduce the heat to
low, add the remaining ingredients, and simmer for 20 minutes,
stirring occasionally. Serve immediately, or keep warm in a chafing
dish. Serve with toothpicks.
