Horn And Hardarts Baked Macaroni And Cheese Recipe

Ingredients:

NY CKBK
1 tbsp: Butter,
1 dash: Cayenne,
1 tbsp: All purp flour,
2 cup: Cheddar cheese, shredded
3 cup: Milk,
1/2 lbs: Elbow macaroni, cooked
1 tsp: Salt,
1/2 cup: Canned tomatoes, chpd, drain
1 dash: White pepper,
1 tsp: Sugar,

Directions:
Automat favorite. Reheats well. Preheat oven 350F. Grease 1 1/2qt
baking dish. Melt butter in saucepan; whisk in flour; add milk, slat,
peppers. Stir constantly until mixture thickens and is smooth, 8-10
mins. Add hceese; cook, stirring until melted. Remove from heat. In
mixing bowl, combine macaroni and sauce. Stir in tomatoes and sugar.
Transfer to baking dish. Bake until surface browns, 30-40 mins.
