Muesli Fruitel Strudel Bars Recipe

Ingredients:
3 1/2 cup: Muesli cereal, divided
1 cup: Vanilla ice cream, softened
1 3/4 cup: Flour,
12 ounce: Apricot preserves,
1 cup: Margarine, melted
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Grease baking sheet. In large bowl combine 2
cups cereal and flour. Add margarine and ice cream to cereal
mixture; mix well. Shape dough into a ball, cover and chill at least
1 hour. Divide dough into 2 equal portions. On floured surface, roll
each portion into an approximate 8 x 12 rectangle. Spread 1/2 cup
preserves on rectangle to within 1 inch of edge. Sprinkle 3/4 cup
cereal evenly over preserves. Roll up from long end as for jelly
roll. Tuck ends under and place seam side down on prepared baking
sheet. Make 10 to 12 slits evenly on top of strudel. Repeat with
remaining portion of dough, preserves and cereal. Bake 35 minutes or
until golden brown. Cool and cut into bars. Store in airtight
