No-fry French Toast~ Recipe

Ingredients:
Nonstick spray coating,
1: Egg, sligthly beaten
1: Egg white, slightly
Beaten,
3/4 cup: Skim milk,
1 tsp: Vanilla,
8 slice: French bread, 1/2" thick

ORANGE SYRUP
1/4 tsp: Orange peel, finely
Shredded,
2/3 cup: Orange juice,
1 tbsp: Honey,
1 1/2 tsp: Cornstarch,
1/8 tsp: Ground cinnamon,

Directions:
Preparation Time: 10 min. Cooking Time: 11 min.

Spray a large baking sheet with nonstick spray. In a shallow bowl
combine egg, egg white, milk and vanilla. Dip bread slices in egg
mixture just long enough to coat both sides. Place on baking sheet.
Bake in a 450~ oven about 6 minutes or till bread is lightly browned.
Turn bread over and bake 5 to 8 minutes more or till golden.

ORANGE SYRUP: In a small saucepan stir together orange peel, orange
jucie, honey, cornstarch, and cinnamon. Cook and stir till thickened
and bubbly. Cook and stir 2 minutes more. Serve toast with warm
orange syrup. Serves 4.

Per serving: 282 calories; 11g protein; 51g carbohydrate; 4g fat;
72mg cholesterol, 460mg sodium; 248mg potassium.
