Kornkloesse (corn Meal Dumplings) Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup: Yellow corn meal,
1: Egg,
2 tsp: Salt,
3/4 cup: Cooked or canned whole ker-,
2 cup: Boiling water,
--nel corn,
1 cup: Flour,
1 tsp: Finely chopped onion,
2 1/2 tsp: Baking powder,
2 tbsp: Melted butter or substitute,
Few grains pepper,
Directions:
: Slowly add corn meal and salt to water, cook, stirring
constantly, 2 minutes or until thick. Remove from heat; cool. Sift
together 3/4 cup flour, baking powder and pepper. Add to corn meal
and mix well. Beat egg and add together with corn, chopped onions,
and butter. : Shape into balls; roll in remaining flour. Drop on
hot stew, cover tightly and cook 12 minutes without removing cover.
These are fine with boiled chicken or pork.
