Easy Spiced Apple Butter Recipe

Ingredients:

1/2 t: Nutmeg,

1/2 t: Ground cloves,
2 cup: Sweet apple cider,
2 1/2 lbs: Rome beatury, or similar
1/4 cup: Light brown sugar,
-apples, cored and
1/4 cup: Butterscotch dessert mix,
-quartered, do not
1/2 t: Cinnamon,
Peel.,
1/2 t: Ginger,
Directions:
Cook first 7 ingredients in heavy overproof Dutch oven or other large
kettle over low heat, stirring occasionally until sugar dissolves.
Increase heat and bring to a boil. Add apples and return to boil.
Cover and bake at 350F until apples are very soft and liquid has
evaporated, stirring occasionally, aobut 2 hours. Cool slightly.
Puree in food processor or blender until smooth. Pack into clean
glass containers with tight fitting lids. Store in refrigerator.
Makes 3 cups, 1 tbps per serving. Keep refrigerated. use as you
