Thelma Lous Oyster Stew Recipe

Ingredients:
1 pint: Jar oysters,
In a 2 quart saucepan heat,
sm White celery stalks with,
-the butter over low heat,
-leaves from the center of,
-until it begins to,
-the stalk,
Bubble. Add the chopped,
Chopped,
-celery, saving some of the
1/4 cup: Butter or margarine,
-green leaves. Stir,
3/4 t: Salt,
And cook for a few minutes.,
1/8 t: Pepper,
- Add the oysters and cook,
1/4 t: Paprika,
-for 3-4 minutes,
1 quart: Milk,
Or until the edges of the,
Paprika,
-oysters curl. Remove from,
Butter,
-the heat and add,
Oyster crackers,

Directions:
the milk, salt, pepper, and paprika. Return to the heat, and cook
until amost boiling, about 10 minutes. During the last few minutes,
add the reserved celery leaves. Serve in hot bowls with a lump of
butter and a dash of paprika in each bowl. Serve the crackers on the
