Creole Rice Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup: Long-grain rice,
1/2 cup: Green onion, sliced
1 cup: Finely chopped onion,
1/2 cup: Green pepper, diced
1 each: Clove garlic, minced
1/2 t: Salt,
2 T: Vegetable oil,
1/4 t: Pepper,
1 cup: Chicken broth,
Grated cheese, optional
1 cup: Tomato sauce, 8oz
Directions:
Combine rice, onion, garlic, green onion, and oil in microwave dish.
Microwave at high power for 3 minutes. Stir in chicken broth, tomato
sauce, green pepper, salt, and pepper. Cover. Microwave at high
power for 20 minutes, stirring after 10 minutes, until rice is hot
and tender. Let sit 5 minutes, covered, before serving.
