Lingonberry Sauce - Bon Appetit Recipe
Yield: 1 1/4 cupsRecipe by luhu.jp
Ingredients:
1: 10-oz jar Swedish lingonberries in sugar OR,
1 cup: Canned whole berry cranberry sauce,
1/2 cup: Ruby Port,
2 tbsp: Brown sugar,
1 tbsp: Dijon mustard,
Directions:
Simmer lingonberries, Port and sugar in heavy small saucepan until
thick and reduced to 1 C, stirring frequently, about 15 minutes.
Whisk in mustard. Let cool to room temperature.
NOTE: They offer this sauce with a venison terrine at the Hotel
Residence in Trondheim. Try it at home with grilled pork or chicken.
