Frankfurter Crown With Potato Dressing Recipe

Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs: Frankfurters,
3 Slices: bacon,

POTATO DRESSING
4 Slices: bacon, diced
1/8 tsp: Pepper,
1 tbsp: Onion, chopped
1 quart: Bread cubes,
1 tbsp: Parsley, chopped
1: Egg,
1 tsp: Salt,
2 cup: Mashed potatoes,

Directions:
Thread frankfurters through center on a string.
Tie ends of string and stand frankfurters in shape of a crown on a
rack in a roasting pan.
Fill center with Potato Dressing made as follows:
Brown bacon, add onions and cook slowly.
Add seasoning and combine with bread, beaten egg and mashed potatoes.
Toss together and add water until mixture is desired consistency.
Lay 3 strips of bacon over the top of the dressing.
Bake at 375 degrees until bacon browns, add 1/2 cup water, cover and
cook 25 minutes.
